X-Way Potion

An X-Way Potion is a potion that reveals the location of 1 nearby undiscovered Mini Waychest.

Obtaining

X-Way potions are brewed in a brewing stand. An awkward potion infused with a Rift Locator Egg will become an X-Way Potion. This potion can also be converted to a Splash X-Way Potion by adding gunpowder.

Usage

Drinking an X-Way potion reveals the nearest undiscovered Mini Waychest within 256 blocks. If no undiscovered Mini Waychest is within range, the potion will not be consumed (unless it is a splash potion).

The X-Way effect also displays a progress bar at the top of the screen. Moving closer to the Mini Waychest fills up the bar.

The effect of an X-Way potion is shared with all nearby players as long as it remains active, including with players who have already discovered the Mini Waychest. However, only the player who consumed the potion can see the progress bar.

The Mini Waychest remains permanently revealed to the consumer until the Mini Waychest is discovered, either by the consumer or by anyone else on the consumer’s Journey. Moving far enough away from the Mini Waychest will hide the progress bar, but it will come back after moving back into range.

The potion also gives 30 seconds of mining fatigue. Even after the mining fatigue effect wears off, digging a tunnel or building a bridge directly to the revealed Mini Waychest is not allowed.
